What do farm-raised catfish eat?

Unlike their wild cousins, farm-raised catfish are fed a specially formulated diet mostly made from soybean meal, corn and rice ingredients. Feed is tested regularly to ensure it has the proper nutritional value for the fish and to make sure it floats in the water (this is to make sure the fish are feeding at the surface of the pond rather than at the bottom and reduces feed waste).
