GIANT TAKES THE CAKE AT CHOCOLATEFEST!
Enola Giant Wins 2nd Prize for Most Original
Carlisle, P.A. - Giant Food Stores was once again recognized for the efforts and talents of its store bakeries at Chocolatefest 2005, held February 6, 2005 in Hershey, PA.
Enola Giant bakery associates Shirley Hummel, Annette Seda and Chris Kieklak won second prize as Most Original for their entry.
Working under the theme of "Love & Chocolate," Giant competed in four different categories, with nearly 60 total entries.
Giant was awarded nine of twelve awards and won first place in every category, including Best Display of Theme, Most Original, Prettiest and Best Overall.
"We are so very proud of our bakers," stated Denny Hopkins, vice president of advertising and public relations at Giant.
"Not only does this competition underscore their creative talents, it's an opportunity to have some fun and show off what they can really do."
Sandra Mitchell, from the Hellertown Giant store received First Place as the Overall Winner of the Retail Chef Competition. Professional chefs and bakery professionals from throughout the area judged the competition.
