Alexandra

Alexandra has worked at Giant for over seven years in various positions within Human Resources. She also participated in the Ahold Master's Management Development Program (AMMDP), where she rotated throughout the organization for two years, learning different aspects of Giant's business. The program gives associates with their Master's degree exposure to the operations and corporate settings of Giant.

"The opportunity to be a part of the Ahold Master's Management Development Program was a fantastic experience for me. I met so many wonderful people at Giant, and they were all so open and willing to teach me about their areas,"Alexandra says.

Being in different environments gave Alexandra a more well-rounded view of Giant and has given her much insight in her role in Compensation and Benefits. Alexandra has to keep up to date with laws, regulations and industry trends in health and welfare. She says, "It is important for me to ensure that I succeed in my role so that Giant can continue to succeed. "Her goals include obtaining certifications in Benefits and Human Resources to complement her Master's Degree in Human Resources and her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.

Alexandra hopes to continue expanding her knowledge of Human Resources and her experience as a Human Resources professional. Throughout her career, she has been able to interact with all levels of associates in all areas of Giant. "I take great pride in working for Giant. I not only get to work directly with upper management, but also with our store associates who make everything happen."
