Revive Your New Year’s Resolutions!

The New Year celebration has come and gone, along with Valentine’s Day, Fat Tuesday, and lots of other temptations. Are you still on track with your New Year’s resolutions? If your plans have taken a turn for the worse, don’t be discouraged – it’s never too late to pick up where you left off. Pull out that list of goals for 2006 and check out our advice for sticking to them.

Be confident! You can change your bad habits. Renew your commitment to doing what it takes to get the job done.

Be patient! Remember that change is more than a one-time effort. It pays to be persistent, so if you get off track, start fresh the next day.

Be prepared! Consider the situations that have caused you to falter and create a plan to help you deal with them in the future.

Most importantly, congratulate yourself for a job well done! Keep track of your progress in a journal or on a calendar and refer to it often to help you stay motivated. Take credit for achieving smaller goals on your way to the big one. You can do it!
