Organics

Organic food differs from conventionally-produced food in the way it is grown, handled and processed. Organic farming methods emphasize the use of renewable resources and conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations.

Meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products that are considered organic have come from animals raised without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. Synthetic fertilizers and pesticides are also excluded from the organic growing process.
At MARTIN’S, we’re very proud of our organic fruit and vegetable selection. We currently offer over one hundred organic products grown by premier farmers. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has developed a set of national standards for organic foods, whether they are grown in the United States or imported from other countries. Before products can be labeled as organic, the farm where they are grown must be inspected by a government-approved certifier to ensure these standards are met.

When you see the USDA Organic seal on an item, you can be sure that 95–100% of the product ingredients were produced organically. MARTIN’S is committed to offering your family the very best organically grown produce available. Look for the our Organic label throughout the store and check out the websites in the menu at right for more information.
