Friday, Feb 9th: Store #103 - 833 West Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067

  • Live radio remote WDAS 105 from 3 pm to 5 pm.
  • Artist Dane Tilghman will be at the store from 5 pm - 6pm signing Negro Baseball prints.
  • Cake sampling and kid's activity sheets that tie back to baseball.

Saturday, Feb. 10th: Store #294 - 1750 Loucks Rd., York, PA 17402

  • Live radio remote WWKL Hot 92.1 from 9 am to 12 noon.
  • Cake sampling and coloring sheet and a mini pack of crayons.  
  • We will have 2 Baseball Historians (Calobe Jackson & Ted Knorr) at the store from 10 - 1pm.
  • Willy Fordham a former player for the Harrisburg Giants and Dane Tilghman the artist will also be at the store.

Saturday, Feb. 17th: Store #6 - 136 Kline Village, Harrisburg, PA 17104

  • Live radio remote WTCY The Touch 1400 from 10 am to 1 pm.
  • Cake sampling and scavenger hunt sheet and a pencil.
  • We will have 2 Baseball Historians (Calobe Jackson & Ted Knorr) at the store and Willy Fordham a former player.
  • Also joining will be former Harrisburg Players Jim Weedon (played outfield in 1954 & 55), Bruno DiMartile (played short stop in 1954, 55, & 56), Eddie Nork (was a right hand pitcher in 1954 & 55)

Saturday, Feb 24th: Store # 329 - 300 E. Blatimore Ave., Lansdowne, PA 19050

  • Live radio remote WDAS 105.3 from 10 am to 12 noon.
  • We will have the artist Dane Tilghman the artist at the store from 10 am to 11 am.
  • Cake sampling and word search and a pen shaped like a baseball bat..

Dane Tilghman

About the Artist:
Dane Tilghman has taken his artwork to a new dimension. He has gone from realism to a stylish combination, incorporating his own interpretation of surrealism and primitive elongation. He has established himself as one of the premier painters of Negro League Baseball images and African American Golf Art. Tilghman works and resides with his family in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Calobe Jackson, Jr. - Historian

Native of Harrisburg, PA. Graduate from the former William High School in Harrisburg. Attended Lincoln University and Penn State University, Majoring in Mathematics. Graduated from Surveying School at Ft. Belvoir, VA and served as a surveyor for the segregated 94th Engineer Battalion during the Korean War. After entering the United States Postal Service, He retired after 35 yrs of service. He was elected to the Harrisburg School Board in 1993 to August 1999 when he resigned to work for (ACE), the Accuracy, Correction and Evaluation of Census 2000. He was again elected in 2001 until Dec. 2005 to the School Board of Harrisburg until appointed as Chair of the Board of Control of the Harrisburg School District by Mayor, Stephen Reed. Mr. Jackson is an avid Historian; he is a member of the Society of American Baseball Researchers.  He also is a researcher of African American History and has present many lectures on Negro League Baseball, African American History in Harrisburg.

Ted Knorr

Mr. Knorr is a baseball fan, trivia buff and a member of the Society for American Baseball Research since 1979. He has particular interest and expertise in the Pittsburgh Pirates, Negro Leagues and statistical analysis. He has consulted with both the Harrisburg Senators and the Lancaster Barnstormers with their Negro League Commemorative Nights. In 1998, he founded and hosted the initial Jerry Malloy Negro League Research Conference in Harrisburg where it has returned twice. His current project is raising awareness of the merits of the Harrisburg Giant outfielder Rap Dixon as a candidate for induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Wilbur Lewis Fordham (Willie)

- Harrisburg Giants - Left Hand Pitcher - 1954 to 1957
- Author of book “I gave it my best shot" will be selling his book at appearance
- Husband, Father of 3, Grandfather of 12 and Great Grandfather of 9
- First African American to pitch a no-hitter game at Carlisle High School, to be promoted to GS-12 at Ordinance Supply Office, on Federal Credit Union Committee and to serve as Chairman of the Federal Credit Committee at Navy Depot, Mechanicsburg.
- Member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity since 1946 and Cheyney Alumni Association
Personal comments: Most proud of relationships with all family members and friends and people met throughout lifetime. Each person has been instrumental in some way in shaping the man I am today. Committed to helping others and will continue to ask God to use me in whatever way he chooses.
